THE K4S GROUP

We are a group of academic, commercial and military individuals who gather to study, develop and teach better ways of understanding.  Thinking about thinking – how to improve the way we view the world and mitigate personal and group biases – is key. This site is our launch pad for distributing lessons, methods, techniques and training exercises to help ourselves and others get better at what we do.

Delivers decision support software from rigorous mission critical military and space systems to fast turn-around demonstrators. Studying knowledge distribution at Cranfield University (Defence Academy UK). Training analysts in less bad ways of thinking.

RESEARCH ANALYST

Recent BSc Mathematics [hons] graduate with a place at Royal Holloway to study Cryptography and Communications MSc.  Currently completing an apprenticeship in Cyber Intrusion Technology. Surveying literature review techniques for the SBOK project, and developing better knowledge searching practices. Producing training videos and exercise material. Studying information systems security.

System Administrator and Ethical Hacker, comfortable among the bits and packets; balancing network routes under dynamic loads, assembling cyber ranges and intrusion detection, and training staff in cyber defense and attack.

Science teacher and illustrator, the creative director behind our IN.Security project. Studying better learning and teaching methods especially around creativity and imagination.

Graphic Designer, Data Visualizer and Business Intelligence Analyst in the military logistics and asset management sectors. Designing game graphics and extending exercises.

INDUSTRY CONSULTANT

Health & Safety Advisor in barg gas environments (AGIs, PRS etc), collaborating across domain and organisation boundaries to ensure regulatory compliance while retaining efficient work practices. Studying vertical and horizontal interactions in busy commercial engineering projects.
