PROJECT THEMES

TRAINING GAMES

Training games encourage active learning, develop team-working skills and can offer real-world scenario testing.

RESEARCH PAPERS

To deliver robust, reliable and useful intelligence exercises, we conduct our own research into information security and progression. We publish some of these research activities as white papers.

PLANNING EXERCISES

Planning exercises can be useful refreshers for previously taught techniques. They develop important decision-making and information-handling skills under cognitive pressure.

IT NEVER SNOWS ON A BRIDGE TOO FAR

We are proud to announce our new board game ‘It Never Snows on a Bridge too Far.’  This multiplayer, collaborative intelligence exercise is modelled upon the real-world events leading up to the great ‘Battle of Arnhem’ in 1944.

IN.SECURITY

Each player takes on a specific role within the company, working alongside teammates, to combat cyber attacks and protect the organisation. Team-work and efficient decision-making is crucial for success. The game provides a fun, interactive way to learn more about cyber threats, their effects, and what common methods are used to counter them.

SEARCHING THE BODY OF KNOWLEDGE

We research how to conduct effective knowledge searches and build intelligence pictures that combine diverse sources and processing. The SBOK project is producing a collection of academic papers that critique literature review methods, and guidelines for rigorous searches.

THE UP-RISE OF PRAU

A collaborative, scenario-hypothesis exercise that tests team’s decision-making and information skills under cognitive strain and time restraints.

FLOODING AID

A re-skin of the British Army’s ‘Winter Aid’ to exercise planning skills, for individuals or teams to attempt in 45 minutes.
